How To Be Untraceable From The Documents Folder ~~For Windows 95, 98 & NT~~ If you have ever got on someone else's computer you know that you can look through their last 15 File Documents. Now if you want to look through their Files it will record what you look at. The Easiest way to get rid of the record of what you looked at is to Clear the Documents Menu via Start|Settings|Taskbar...|Start Menu Programs, but that will clear all the records, yours... and the owners, fairly obvious to see that something's being hid. Follow the following sequence and you will be untraceable: * Make a New Folder on the Desktop. * MOVE ALL Shortcuts (15max) from "C:\WINDOWS\Recent" (C:\ being the drive windows is installed) to the New folder. * Go on and look at whatever files you want without having to worry about them.* When your done, "Clear" yours and move all Shortcuts back into "C:\WINDOWS\Recent", then delete your folder. So you know: It may take a few seconds for the Documents Menu to figure out the change. So you know: Deleting all files in "C:\WINDOWS\Recent" is the same as Clearing the Documents Menu via Start|Settings|Taskbar...|Start Menu Programs. So you know: The above information is not intended to help you spy on your friends or co-workers, But it makes it possible :) MrWadlo - mrwadlo (at) mrwadlo.com http://www.mrwadlo.com/
