How To Add A Registered File Type ~~ Windows 95/NT ~~ If you have ever double clicked a file and had a "Open With" prompt open, you might have been confused as to what to pick, or unsure if you will be stuck with the wrong one. Here is a way to fix your mistake and Add a needed file type: To Fix a Mistake: Open a Folder. Click "View". Click "Options...". Click "File Types". Scroll down to the File that does not work. Double Click it. Double Click "Open". The Location is where the program is trying to run. You can select a new one by clicking "Browse..."
