How To Add A Registered File Type

If you have ever double clicked a file and had a 
"Open With" prompt open, you might have been confused as 
to what to pick, or unsure if you will be stuck with the
wrong one.
Here is a way to fix your mistake and Add a needed file
type:

To Fix a Mistake:
Open a Folder.
Click "View".
Click "Options...".
Click "File Types".
Scroll down to the File that does not work.
Double Click it.
Double Click "Open".
 The Location is where the program is trying to run.
 You can select a new one by clicking "Browse..."
 When your done click "OK" then "Close"
 If you don't want to change any others "Close"

Add a needed file type:
1st files are files that come with some programs, which
you are meant to "Read these first" but windows does not
associate 1st files with any program, so it can't read
these. You will be prompted to "Open With"
Check the box:
"Always use this program to open this file"
Find the "NOTEPAD" on the list
Click it once
Click "OK"
Now 1st files will be viewed with notepad
 The icon is a notepad.
 This can be changed, in another HOW-TO file.
 An icon can also be downloaded, and is available upon 
  request.
