Volkswagen is well known for its bugs, the most well known year being '67 (even though Herbie was usually a '63), when the old style met the new features that continued to be used into the late 70's. Before 1967, the look of the bugs features became more and more discrete the older they were, the tail lights are a good example of this. 1966 however, was the last year that the old style was used completely; from fenders to the electrical system. This makes it a very special year.
